(Note - Attorney Tom McGrath will call in and give an update on the upcoming SC Supreme Court case to be heard in February)

Bikers Of Lesser ToleranceThe next B.O.L.T. Liberty Call-In Hour will be:

FMVSS and Special Guest: Tom McGrath

Updates: BOOST v Myrtle Beach, bikers v. Myrtle Beach, helmet ticket stops and court cases, checkpoints, and any hot news and alerts that arise.
Topics: non-applicability of FMVSS, preemption in federal and common law, used equipment, NHTSA counsel interpretive files. USC TITLE 49 Chapter 301.

The updates portion of the hour is going to be brief but important. This is a critical time, with the important bikers v. Myrtle Beach court case looming right around the corner in South Carolina Superior Court. Expect to have a full hour dedicated to bikers problems in MYRTLE BEACH in an upcoming episode. The implications of every city in America going against preemptive laws and enforcing their own standards are enormous. It is also insane! Imagine riding across country and  having to switch out your motor vehicle equipment in every city! Wiper blades, check. Brake fluid, check. Automobile safety helmet, check. Remove donkey balls from trailer hitch,  check. Remove all evidence of fast food , such as hamburg wrappers, check. You might end up having to bring a trailer-full of equipment with you! North American Union Drivers License, check - OMG!!

The discussion topics portion of the hour; Don't let the official sounding topics scare you. You do not have to be an expert to participate. All of you who are interested in learning is one of the main reasons we have the call-in hour. We enjoy sharing this information. If anyone wants to brush up in order to prepare in advance, here is a plethora of information to either begin your education, advance your education, or brush up on what you already know. If the particular information about helmet laws you are looking for is not on that page, the links will serve you well.

This will be a public conference call from coast to coast.

We hope to give all callers their turn at the virtual podium. There is a lot of information to cover. We'll take calls and answer your questions the best we can. Keep in mind that we are lay-persons rather than lawyers, although lawyers occasionally call in.

You won't want to miss this one! Pass it on! All welcome. Invite your bros and sisters.
